I ate here with four other people during our stay at the lake. I have been here before but not for quite a while. It was about exactly the same as I remembered it. Good food with good service and friendly people.
We started with an order of deep-fried pickles as an appetizer. These are must get. Their deep-fried pickles are spears not chips like other places. They are very tasty especially with the sauce. I had the shrimp basket and it was great. I couldn't finish all of the fries. Someone else ordered the Wild Pork Wings off of the appetizer menu. I have never seen anything like these. I sampled them and they were very tasty. Another companion had the Ultimate Grilled Cheese. This thing is loaded with everything. They enjoyed it. The other two had burgers and I can't remember which ones. But all I remember was they were very big, juicy and satisfying.
There is a ramp to get into both sections of the restaurant. I needed a little push but it worked great. We ate in the patio with open windows and there was plenty of room for my wheelchair to maneuver anywhere. Oh yeah, the Bloody Mary's are great. -

I am sooo impressed with the food and the service despite all the bad reviews I read.
My fiance and my fiance's best friend and I decided to hit up the local pickel factory while visiting from Saint Paul. We came around 3, shortly after they opened. I didn't really know what to expect. I imagined pickels being displayed in all different forms all over the place but that wasn't the case. It reminded me of a bar where a bunch of locals hang out, eat, and watch sports. I didn't mind that type of vibe at all.
We were immediately greeted by the waitress who did a fantastic job by the way. The atmosphere was very clean and sport like. I was told the pickel factory was known for the burgers. So, I ordered a Hawaiian burger, it was jam packed with flavor. The burger was also extremely juicy and it had the perfect amount of sweetness from the grilled pineapple. Overall, it was amazing. My fiance ordered a Patty melt with sweet potato fries and he didn't have a single thing to complain about. Highly recommend. -

I love this place. It's traditional and nostalgic as we visit every time we come to the lake from Texas. We started with the cheese curds and the fried green beans - both were amazing!!! Our table had burgers and bloody Marys that were so good. I had the burger with BBQ sauce and an onion ring it was great but could only eat half. Their waffle fries are super good as well. Don't forget to check out the basement. I stocked up on pickled garlic, habaneros, jalapeños, banana peppers, and jam.

An unexpected bright spot for great food and delicious drinks. Definitely worth the drive. The pantry is awesome. I stock up whenever I can get up there. Really great jams and pickled goods.
